Ashikaga Flower Park and Gunma

My roommate's home-town is Gunma. It's the prefecture next to Tochigi. There's not a lot to do there but I loved meeting her parents and seeing the house she grew up in as well as the area. Subaru cars are manufactured in Gunma.

Her parents took us to the Ashikaga Flower Park. I want to go there in May next year to see the Wisteria trees in bloom. At the moment, it's pretty bare but that doesn't matter. They have a light show in the park called 'illumination' at the moment, which was just... wow.

So spectacularly exquisite... so romantic... that even though she's already married to my other friend (and they're a super cute couple) and that marriage isn't my thing... I ended up proposing to Mayumi... thrice!

This went through the seasons

I'm making a heart shape xD I'm Thumbelina guys!

The flowers smelled pretty.

My panorama's are kind of creepy... there were a few with half people D :

Oh no D : I blocked my snowman friend. How did I not realise??

Ho ho ho! Merry Christmas!

So romantic. This was one of the places I proposed xD

Sup

Winter is coming.... *had to*

Mayumi's parents had never tried tacos before D : the kit I got from Kaldi's coffee farm happened to be the same ones we get in New Zealand. I made them tacos using lentils (and telling them mushrooms are also good too). I also made chocolate chia pudding (shake in a shaker a can of coconut milk, 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder, 1/4 cups of chia seeds, and sugar to taste - you can also put in maple syrup -, then pop it in the fridge for at least 4 hours).

Mayumi's mother made a huge breakfast. I couldn't finish mine > . < it was amazing though.

Aaaaannnd..... this is super odd for me, because I usually wake up at midday (when I don't work weekends), I watched Star Wars: The Force Awakens at TEN THIRTY IN THE MORNING!!!! in Gunma. I couldn't wait and ... yeah.

I loved it!!! Rey is awesome. I got emotional seeing Han Solo, Leia, and Luke. Oh, and C3PO and R2D2. Oh and the music of course. The music man. Good old John Williams. Kylo Ren wasn't nearly as cool as I was expecting > . < .....I love Darth Vader, you see. And I suppose I was expecting someone more put together. I did find the tantrums funny xD ... and I think Adam Driver's a good actor portraying the conflict and all. Some villains are cool... But I liked Rey more than I expected to. She's awesome! It made me mad when I found out some Star Wars (The Force Awakens) toy sets don't even include her and she's the main character -__- *sighs*. My other roommate was disappointed to find that the main character was female... apparently it's not sexist though because she's a female herself -___- urgh. Ffs.

Poe's cool too. He showed some Starbuck (Battlestar Gallactica) skills.

I plan to keep this FOREVER :P and use it as a container.
Has to be my favourite film of the year, and I'm not sure if it's because I'm biased or because it really is the best. I went in not expecting a lot though. And not sure if I love Rey because she's hot or because she's actually cool, maybe both maybe both xD smart, savvy, kind, doesn't whine, can fight...
*hums Imperial March... even though I only heard it faintly in the film once... I think*

I found out afterwards that Mayumyum had never seen a Star Wars movie before D : omg! What the hell?! But she enjoyed it and I think she's interested in the others xD
